At MDEX.my, we care about your privacy and we want to ensure that your online trading experience is safe and secure.

This policy applies to all MDEX members. Because we gather certain types of information about our users, we feel you should fully understand our policies surrounding the capture and usage of that information.

Information we collect and how we use it

Information received.
When you signed up for an MDEX account, we ask for your email address. Your email address is used for sending you notifications concerning your MDEX account, news updates and services provided (i.e. login details, password details, website maintenance notification, workshops and miscellaneous notifications).

As a seller in MDEX, we also require your Business Registration Number to make MDEX a safe place for buyers to trade. This is a mandatory requirement to be a seller in MDEX.my. MDEX buyers are excluded from this requirement.

Information about usage.
When you logged in to your account at MDEX.my, MDEX servers will automatically record information about the way you use MDEX. MDEX records information such as account activity (including storage usage, number of log-ins, viewers), and other log information (including browser type, IP-address, date and time of access, and referrer URL).

Google Analytics.
MDEX.my uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help website to analyse how users use MDEX.my. The information generated by the cookie about your usage of MDEX.my (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your usage in MDEX.my, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Google may also transfer this information of third parties where required to do so by Law, or where such parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this, you may not ba able to use the full functionality of MDEX.my. By using MDEX.my, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purpose set out above.

Log Information.
When you use MDEX, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. Information about your web request, your IP address, your browser type, your browser language, date and time of your request will be collected.

Your Company Profile.
The information you have provided on your MDEX company profile many be read by the public accessing to this site. Therefore, please be extra careful of what information you would like to display at your company profile.

Confidentiality and Security of Information.
All MDEX employees are bound by a code of ethics and we assure that the privacy of your information is protected by a confidentiality agreement at all times.

Accuracy of Information.
We strive to ensure that our customer account information is accurate and kept up to date. Therefore, we encourage you to assist us by informing us in the event that your records are required to be updated or found to be incomplete or inaccurate.

Information about Children .
Our MDEX platform is not intended to be used by children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 except in compliance with applicable law.

Your MDEX Company Profile.
MDEX do not display your email addresses to protect your privacy. Information such as company name, address, contact person, contact details and website URL (if any) will be publicly displayed.

Your communication with MDEX Team.
When you send an email or other communication to MDEX Team, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries in order to improve our services.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information MDEX Collects
If not stated otherwise, MDEX will not disclose personal information to third parties except to conform to legal requirements or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legal process received by MDEX, whether or not a response is required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy.
This Privacy Policy may change. All Policy changes will be posted on our Privacy Policy Page. If the changes are significant, we will notify users via email.
