The portable iCPlate2 X solves one of the printing industries most difficult challenges - quick and accurate quality control for computer-to-plate (CTP) and conventional printing. With its built-in video camera, iCPlate2 X geometrically analyzes plates so you can quickly see whether plate quality is acceptable before printing the job, identify and correct problems in your plate making process and calibration your CTP devices. The result, shorter cycle times and reduced waste.

Quickly and accurately measure conventional and CTP plates

• Automatic calibration eliminates calibration errors, thereby reducing measurement cycles
• The icon based graphical user interface provides language independent operation with easy to see readings
• iCPlate's superior object recognition algorithm eliminates dust and scratches when reading your plate
• The video camera system, supported by 3 different lamp types, provides the perfect illumination to measure positive and negative plates and AM and FM (stochastic) screening on a wide range of plate types
• High image resolution provides the visibility needed for analyzing dot area, dot size, screen ruling, screen angle and the plate characteristic curve
• Get 30,000 measurements from just two 1.5V (AA) batteries thanks to the LED technology
• Easily import measurement values and plate images directly into an active Windows application for quality tracking purposes with the included Capture Tool software
• Also includes iCPlate2 X target, a tool which helps improve accuracy when calibrating the device. This target supports the ISO9000 process by storing and printing the test and calibration data

PlateQuality 2.0 Software

PlateQuality software stores, visualizes, and documents both individual measurements as well as plate characteristic curve measurements, providing operators with stored measurement values and plate images which they can use at any later stage for quality control comparison. The result - consistent plate quality that is verifiable, measurable quality control, increased productivity and lower costs.

• Automatic storage of measurement values and images in a database to document and trace all measurements.
• Contains job, customer, reference and measurement value database, to classify and order the data. This helps to find and trace measurement data quickly and easy.
• All types of control wedges are supported, as the reference curves with the tolerance specification are customizable.
• Beside the measurement data, also plate images can be compared for a detailed quality analysis.
• All associated and relevant data, as plate type, screening, plate setter, chemistry data and more can be stored for a traceable documentation.
• For offline measurements, reference curves can be transferred to the iCPlate2 XT and the data of a whole curve measurement can be transferred to the PlateQuality software. This makes it possible to make measurements without direct connection to the PC (Not available with iCPlate2 X)
• Measurement data and images can be exported for a more in-depth analysis.
• Measurement data and images can be printed in multiple layouts for documentation.
• Full high resolution images can be uploaded for detailed plate analysis. These images can be used for offline analysis by service centers.
