Product Information Rockwool B40 and Rockwool R40 are lightweight mineral fibre products engineered mainly for thermal insulation purposes. As rockwool is made from limestone and basalt, these products are non combustible with a melting of more than 1000◦C. These two products provide not only excellent insulation qualities, but also effective acoustical, sound absorption materials. The differences between these two products are the packaging and sizes. The Rockwool B40s are supplied in rolls for easy installation over large areas. Rockwool R40 comes in sheet forms to be applied on places where a more rigid product is needed. Common Applications Rockwool B40 is very suitable for metal deck roofs and wall sheeting for reduction of heat transmission and greatly reduces the rain noise penetration into the rockwool insulated building. Packaging and Proper Storage Both the products are shrink-wrapped in polyethylene for easy handling, storage and transportation. They are to be stored indoors or under roof covering. Available Sizes
